With more than 20 years of experience, Heather has played an integral role in building Media Relations Agency’s position as a respected, international marketing agency. She has the keen understanding and insight to know how to run an integrated campaign and what it takes for our clients’ stories to become the news. Heather is a multi-faceted business leader. She’s part marketing strategist, part consumer psychologist and part motivational cheerleader. “I love understanding what drives people to take action, especially when it involves getting the media to run stories about our clients so that we can help those clients build their businesses,” she says. “I also enjoy developing and defining processes, and collaborating with our internal team, to ensure we deliver consistent results.”
Heather also believes in the importance of using her God-given talents to help others in our community. Whether it’s supporting children through her role as Chairman of the Board for Kids ‘n Kinship, or empowering women to achieve career success by serving on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners, Heather finds fulfillment in creating bridges between our business community and local nonprofit organizations.
Jason Kocina – President of Checkerboard
Jason is our chief digital marketing strategist. Clients love him because he’s amazing at explaining complex ideas and concepts to non-technical people. In fact, Jason has been teaching businesses how to turn their websites into profit centers since 1995. “I’ve always been fascinated by the Internet. I look at it as being akin to the Gutenberg press,” he comments.
And just as the pioneering publishers before him, Jason feels most invigorated when he’s helping clients use digital media to distinguish themselves from the competition. He is one of those rare people who can effortlessly interpret how changes happening on the Internet are likely to benefit or hinder a marketing program.
Using his extensive experience in design and web development, he can quickly review any scenario and determine how best to help a client. He’s also genuine. “I enjoy working with all of the different marketing directors and business owners,” he confirms.
