A Mayor and a Mediator who is always selling something (an idea, a project, a path out of a conflict). How do you not just avoid tough topics, but actually embrace them as part of your strategy to move forward? Running into a disagreement doesn’t need to be the end of the deal – learn ways to work through tough situations. A country split down the middle doesn’t have to mean half the sales…working with and serving the ‘other side’ is a key to success. Bridging the divides – lessons from traveling across the state selling the idea of working through conflicts to achieve a mutual satisfactory outcome. Some key takeaways include:
- Influencing a person with a difference position
- Identify the three types of negotiators and adapt to influence
- The top three most influential negotiation techniques to use in every situation
- Four questions to ask the other side to break a deadlock
- An effective strategy when the other side goes silent
Plus, other situations and story that will entertain and enlighten your future conversations and other forms of communication.
