About Our Members
Who are the SME members? And why do they choose to join SME when there are numerous other associations they could be part of, online forums they could participate in and blogs they could read—or even write—themselves?
SME members are driven by the need for continuous learning—and they find it in this organization. Members are able to apply content from the monthly Lunch and Learns and peer groups to their ongoing business issues. They are driven to implement new ideas and methodologies with their team, peers and clients. At the end of the day, results matter to SME members—not the latest “marketing speak.”
Learning Never Stops for SME members.

Joining SME was an easy decision for me. I was looking for a group of quality executives whose focus was keeping abreast of current knowledge in the business development field and SME offers just that. SME has a rich history of monthly meetings including high quality, nationally-regarded speakers and opportunities to meet in smaller peer groups where I am able to discuss pertinent business books with my peers. Although not the primary focus, meaningful networking naturally results with like-minded individuals.
Paula Carlson, SME Member
I have attended SME meetings for years. I am responsible for the sales and marketing of my company and I always learn new and innovative strategies when I attend the monthly SME meetings.
Kit Welchlin, Professional Speaker, Welchlin Communication Strategies
As a sales professional I attend many networking events every week. However, they are usually for another profession other than sales. I joined SME, not only for the great networking, but to attend educational sessions focused on my needs as a sales professional. It’s a Win Win!
