COVID came crashing in on us almost 8 months ago and a lot has changed since then, but a lot has stayed the same. The tools we use on a regular basis like Zoom, LinkedIn and cell phones were obviously around pre-COVID, they just became much more relevant and important.
As Sales and Marketing professionals, we’ve had to adapt. Our year long marketing calendar was blown to pieces in March and our sales visits and trade shows were cancelled and are now going virtual.
So what can we do about it? How can we stand out and keep growing?
Our conversation will cover the basics of digital marketing and some tactical ideas for sales and marketing professionals to deploy immediately.

Tracy Kelly grew up working for his parents small retail business in Rochester, MN and after graduating with a marketing degree he started his career at a ventilation manufacturer as a “market specialist.” He wasn’t great with details at the time and thought he had applied for a “marketing specialist” role. After spending the first day on the phone making cold calls he soon learned his new job was in sales. Fast forward 3 years and his territory had tripled in revenue.
It was at that job he learned the power of being a salesperson who self marketed. Today he works at Hook Agency where he helps construction companies and professional service providers “hook better leads” with persuasive websites and getting found on Google with aggressive SEO.
