8:00 am - 9:00 am

Many sales and marketing professionals believe in order to increase sales, they need to tell a compelling story about their company or products. The problem is, no one cares about your story, they care about their own story. It’s your job to show how your product or service will help your customer be the hero and help them thrive.

Effective marketing is still about communicating with other humans, and storytelling has been used for thousands of years to engage the human brain. Fortunately for us, the core elements are the same for almost all stories, and by understanding them we can be more effective in sales and marketing.

Matt will explain how to use the 7 key elements of a good story to reframe your sales and marketing messaging to connect more effectively with your customers, why clear is always better than clever, and why you should stop telling people what you do when you introduce yourself.

Participants will leave with a better understanding of how to use story to market your company, product or service, and some practical tools that you can use on your next Zoom sales call.

Matt Banker is the founder and lead consultant at Banker Creative. Many business owners struggle to communicate exactly what they do in a compelling way because they are too close to their own business. As a StoryBrand Guide, Matt helps companies clarify their messaging so they can turn more of their contacts into customers and helps them effectively market their business while remaining true to their values.
